Intangible capital

Keep your company's brain

CORPUS is Network Effect's service that digitises the intangible capital of an SME or mid-sized company: its strategy, its positioning, its customers and competitors, its past decisions, its tacit processes. The result is a corpus in readable files, structured to be read by an AI, delivered to your premises, and owned by you alone. A short engagement, one to three days, on site in western France or remotely.

A generic AI gives generic answers. Before putting AI to work, you have to give it something to work on.

Who needs a corpus?

  • The leader who started automating and made an uncomfortable discovery: the tools run, but they don't know the company.
  • The mid-sized company that wants to put an AI at the service of its teams without handing its secrets to a platform.
  • The company whose knowledge lives in three heads, and knows those heads will leave one day.
  • The leader preparing a FOCUS session: the corpus speeds up preparation and deepens the session.

What can AI do with your corpus that it can't do without?

Answer your questions, not generic ones. Write in your voice, with your arguments and your positions. Prepare a decision while taking into account what you've already decided, and why. Watch the parts of the market that matter to you, not everybody's news. Onboard a new hire with the company's memory, not a binder.

And above all: not lose what you know. When everyone queries an AI on their own, nobody writes down what they learned any more. The company's memory doesn't disappear overnight; it stops being built. The corpus is where it gets built.

Going digital isn't scanning documents. It's writing down what the company knows, what it decided, and why.

How is the corpus built?

  1. Structured interviews with the leader, and with key people where useful. Half a day to a day.
  2. Extraction and structuringFounding decisions, positioning, environment (customers, competitors, suppliers), commercial strategy, assumptions, processes nobody ever wrote down.
  3. Connection to your flowsYour documents, your tools, your exchanges, so the corpus stays alive instead of being a snapshot.
  4. DeliveryStructured Markdown files, readable by a human and by any AI model, on your premises. A roadmap: what to do next with this corpus?

What do you receive?

  • The corpusYour files, on your premises. It is an asset, not a report.
  • A roadmapThe uses to activate first, and those that can wait.
  • A brief ready for a FOCUS session, if you run one.

Who can read your corpus?

You, and the AI you choose. The corpus is delivered as files you fully own, on your premises. One question remains that no tool settles for you: what stays readable, and what gets encrypted. It is a trilemma: fully secure, fully autonomous, fully fast, you cannot have all three at once. An encrypted document is safe from a leak, but an agent can no longer work on it alone. A readable document lets the AI act fast and without you, but you need to know where it travels. Each company chooses its own balance.

What we do: we design your trust architecture with you. What stays readable so the AI can work, what is encrypted with your keys, where the model runs (on your premises or with a provider, and on what terms), who holds the keys and how they are recovered. That balance is unique to each company: it is what we build, not a tool we sell.

Not your keys, not your brain.

How do you start?

A half-hour conversation. We assess the size and complexity of your company and send a quote. The corpus can be bought on its own: it has value by itself, even if you go no further.

Frequently asked questions

What is a company's intangible capital?

Everything the company knows that appears on no balance sheet: its strategy, its past decisions and their reasons, its knowledge of its customers and competitors, its tacit processes, its way of judging. It is what a generic AI doesn't have, and what your competitors can't buy.

How is this different from a document management tool?

A document management tool files documents. CORPUS writes down what was never written, and structures it so an AI can reason with it. The deliverable is a set of text files, not software: there is no lock-in.

How long does the engagement take?

One to three days of work, depending on company size, spread over one to two weeks.

Which AI model reads the corpus?

The one you choose. The files are in Markdown, readable by every model on the market, locally or with a provider. We help you choose according to your confidentiality constraints.

Is the corpus kept up to date?

It has to be, or it becomes a snapshot. We connect it to your flows when possible, and we propose a regular update point.
