Bitcoin and AI training: understand it, and touch it

Network Effect trains leaders, CFOs, managers and independents in one day, in Rennes, in Brittany, or at your premises. Two Bitcoin courses exist: F101 “Bitcoin in action”, to understand the protocol by practising it, and F102 “Holding your bitcoin”, to buy, use and keep your bitcoin yourself. A third is coming: AI literacy, to move from amateur to expert use. Courses run in French by default and in English on request.

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” Benjamin Franklin.

You don't understand Bitcoin by reading about it. You understand it by running a node, signing a transaction, and watching a block arrive.

F101 · Bitcoin in action: one day to understand the protocol by practising it

Who it's for : leaders, finance managers, managers, entrepreneurs, and any professional who wants to understand Bitcoin concretely. No technical prerequisite.

What changes : you leave knowing what a transaction, a block, a node and mining are, and what Bitcoin and Lightning can change in your company's financial and commercial strategy. You will have watched the mempool, run a node, and connected a Lightning wallet to a service.

How it goes : one intensive day, 9:00 to 17:30, in a group. Topics are adjustable: depending on participants, the emphasis goes to finance or to technology. A version spread over two days is possible.

Programme : Morning · Understanding the Bitcoin protocol (9:00 – 12:30)

  1. Introduction to Bitcoin (9:00 – 10:00): origin, innovation, use cases; consensus and the distributed chain.
  2. Transactions and security (10:15 – 11:15): how they work, how they are recorded and secured; hands-on discovery of the mempool; the security rules.
  3. Break (11:15 – 11:30).
  4. Mining and consensus (11:30 – 12:30): the principles, then mining in practice.

Afternoon · Applications and strategies for business (13:30 – 17:00)

  1. Installing and running a Bitcoin node (13:30 – 14:30): set-up, why it matters, the benefits.
  2. Bitcoin in the company's economy (14:45 – 17:00): financial and commercial strategies, tax and regulatory implications, impact on business models, emerging use cases, hands-on connection to Lightning services.
  3. Wrap-up and questions (17:00 – 17:30).

What you get : concrete examples and case studies at every step, Q&A on your own cases, and resources to go further after the day.

F102 · Holding your bitcoin: one day to buy, use and keep your bitcoin yourself

Who it's for : companies, independents and individuals who want to understand and practise self-custody. Leaders, CFOs, consultants, and anyone who wants control over their bitcoin.

What changes : you leave with a custody set-up suited to your profile, and the autonomy to run it: generate a seed, create a wallet, send and receive, back up, choose between single and multiple signatures.

Not your keys, not your coins. One day so it stops being a slogan.

How it goes : one intensive day, 9:00 to 17:30, with guided hands-on work at every step.

Programme : Morning · The fundamentals of self-custody (9:00 – 12:30)

  1. Introduction and context (9:00 – 9:45): why hold it yourself; freedom, privacy, security, independence from third parties.
  2. Technical basics (10:00 – 11:00): Bitcoin as a monetary protocol; addresses, private and public keys, signatures, UTXOs; hash functions and 256-bit security.
  3. Hands-on · First steps (11:00 – 12:30): generating a seed (BIP39), creating a wallet with Sparrow Wallet, reading transactions and UTXOs on mempool.space.

Afternoon · Practice and operational security (13:30 – 17:00)

  1. Buying and using (13:30 – 14:30): buying from a broker, sending and receiving, labelling and consolidating UTXOs.
  2. Security and good practice (14:45 – 16:00): loss, theft, surveillance, human error; seed backups, geographic duplication, passphrases; single or multiple signature; signing devices, nodes, backups.
  3. Workshop · Practical cases (16:00 – 17:00): a simple custody architecture; a secure transaction, UTXO management, testing a multisig wallet; strategies by profile: company, individual, family, association.
  4. Wrap-up and questions (17:00 – 17:30): summary, going further, and the reminder that matters: don't trust, verify.

What you get : tools installed and in hand, exercises done, access to free resources, and advanced support options after the course.

AI literacy: from amateur to expert use

Coming soon

Who it's for : leaders, managers and teams, whether they already use a few AI tools or not yet. No technical background needed.

What changes : AI isn't one more piece of software, it is infrastructure for thinking. It slips into the gaps in the working day: between two meetings, two documents, two decisions. You leave knowing what it does well, what it does badly, how to put it to work on real tasks, and why an AI that doesn't know your company misses the point: the context is yours to give it.

An amateur asks AI a question. An expert gives it context.

How do you organise a course?

Write to us with the number of participants, the profile (finance, technical, mixed), and your dates. Courses take place in Rennes, at your premises in Brittany and western France, or elsewhere on request. The Bitcoin courses' programme is available as a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need technical knowledge for F101?

No. F101 is aimed at leaders and teams without a technical background. Examples and exercises are chosen for a business audience. If the group is more technical, the content adapts.

Do I need to already own bitcoin for F102?

No. The course covers buying from a broker, in practice. You can arrive owning nothing and leave with a wallet you created and secured yourself.

Where do the courses take place?

In Rennes, or at your premises in Brittany and western France. Elsewhere in France and in Europe on request.

Are the courses available in English?

Yes, on request. The programme PDF is in English. The default language is French.

Can F101 and F102 be combined?

Yes, over two consecutive or separate days. That is the full path: understand the protocol, then hold your keys.

Is there a Bitcoin × AI course?

No, and that is deliberate. What happens where Bitcoin meets AI is being invented right now: claiming to teach it would be presumptuous. We explore it with you, on your own cases, in the Bitcoin × AI workshop on the Strategy page.

Let's talk about your project.
