Infrastructure
Tools you own
Network Effect installs and maintains, for SMEs and mid-sized companies, an infrastructure they own: a Bitcoin and Lightning node to take and verify payments with no intermediary, an AI that runs on your hardware and reads your corpus without it ever leaving, and your business services hosted on your premises. This site is the proof: it is served from our own node in Rennes, France, with no third-party script and no tracker.
Everything you rent can be taken back, repriced or reconfigured. Everything you own cannot.
Who needs infrastructure of their own?
- The company that wants to put AI to work on sensitive data, customers, contracts, R&D, without sending it to a third party.
- The shop or SME that takes bitcoin and wants to verify its payments itself, instead of trusting a service.
- The leader who has seen too many subscriptions go up, too many services shut down, and wants the ability to switch.
- The mid-sized company for which digital sovereignty is no longer a word but a tender criterion.
What does owning your tools change?
Full ownership of an asset combines three rights: to use it, to profit from it, to dispose of it. With a rented service you only have the first. The vendor keeps the other two: they can change the price, the terms, read your data, or shut down. With infrastructure of your own, you keep all three.
Concretely:
- Your data doesn't leave. The AI reads your corpus on site.
- Your node verifies your payments. You ask nobody whether the money arrived.
- Your costs are known.Hardware you depreciate, not a subscription that climbs.
- You can switch. One AI model replaces another; one service replaces another. Nothing holds you.
The cloud is someone else's computer. Yours is yours.
What do we install, and how?
- A Bitcoin and Lightning node on a small dedicated server, on your premises. It verifies the whole chain, receives your payments, and serves as the reference for your wallets. We install it, back it up, and teach you to read it.
- A local AI, when your hardware allows: an open model running on your machine and reading your corpus. Otherwise, a provider under contract, chosen for its guarantees, with the ability to switch.
- Your hosted servicesWebsite, internal tools, backups, on the same principle as this site: an app on a server you own, published on your domain, updated automatically from your code repository.
- MaintenanceUpdates, backups, monitoring, and a written procedure so you don't depend on us.
Proof by example : This site is an example of what we do. It is served from our own node in Rennes, with no resource loaded from another domain, no cookie, no analytics. Every change goes live in under five minutes, with no human action. We practise what we preach.
What do you receive?
Hardware you own, services installed and documented, your keys, and the ability to take everything over without us. A tested recovery procedure. A regular maintenance check-in if you want one.
How do you start?
Tell us what you want to keep on your premises: your payments, your AI, your tools, or all three. We size the hardware, we install, we train.
Frequently asked questions
Is a local AI as good as an online service?
For the tasks that matter in a company, reading a corpus, writing, summarising, preparing a decision, recent open models are more than sufficient, and they improve every quarter. For the heaviest tasks, a provider under contract remains possible, while keeping the ability to switch.
What hardware is needed?
For a Bitcoin node and web services, a small book-sized server is enough. For a local AI, a machine with a graphics card or a suitable chip. We size it to your uses.
Who maintains the infrastructure?
You, us, or both. Everything is documented so you can take over. We offer regular maintenance, with no lock-in: you can stop it whenever you want and keep everything.
Is it really safer than the cloud?
It's different. The cloud protects well against a failing disk; it protects poorly against a leak, a seizure, a change of terms. Infrastructure of your own, well backed up and well encrypted, protects against both. The remaining risk is human error: that's why we train and we test recovery.
Does this site really run on your node?
Yes. It is served by an application on our own server in Rennes, and published on networkeffect.fr through a secure tunnel. No resource is loaded from another domain.
